Please help, time saving tips for bulk audio files

I'm working with thousands of 5-20 second audio files. They need to be adjusted. Some need to have 2 seconds added on to them, some need to have their volumes lowered. Also is there a way to import bulk regions on to a track. Dragging thousands of files from the region list to the track would take hours.

select the files in the bin, select the order that they will drop (vert or horizontal) from the audio menu and then drag them out to a track.

I do this a lot. As much as I enjoy Pro Tools for all it can do, there might be a better solution that doesn't require all the "bounce to disk" action to create a new file.

If you have a PC sitting around, you might want to check out Sound Forge. Add a few seconds, save as, done.

you can do this in PEAK using the batch processor and inserting 2 seconds of a blank file into the end of the file... it will also do volume adjusts.
