Cool Mbox2 clicks on windows7 but mini works fine

Mbox 2 clicks and pops on PTLE 8.04. I am running 7, 64bit. I also have a mbox2 mini. It works flawlessly on the system. I tried removing all drivers and directing the found hardware wizard to the PTLE 8.04 update folder. No use. I tried play back engine settings, and all the usual. It sounds like a clocking glitch. It's easy to blame on the integrated graphics, but then why does the mini work. Do they share a driver?
