Default Video Capture Cards

I am looking into getting a video capture card for my work place. Basically the main requirement will be to capture high quality images from a VCR or Camcorder.

What would the best card to use and where can I find more info out about this card?

Also, what is the best software to use?

I'd need the card to run on a Intel Pentuim 3 @ 700mhz, 256 mb RAM, 13gb EIDE HD. Any ideas as I only have till Wednesday afternoon to find out about it! Thanks.

Kindest Regards

Ben Cripps

Default Re: Video Capture Cards

The most common that i'm aware of is the MiroMotion DC 30+, made by pinnacle. I'm using one with my mac, but i'm not sure whether there is a version for PC (??) -- i've had it for about 6 months and so far no problems -- it runs with Adobe Premiere. Try the pinnacle website, or your friendly digidesign retailer. good luck.
