Pro Tools stalling for 3 seconds on record

Hi All, My Pro Tools stalling for 3 seconds everytime I go into record mode. Pause....... 3 second then the songs and reeco recording strat. Help

Do you have the Count Off turned on?

I get the same delay and there is no countoff goin on. It justs ,...like its saying" Ohh!, u pressed record. OK. Alright. IM start. ok, here I go!"

it takes its time, 4 some reason.

Do you have your buffer set to 1024? On a loaded system with the buffer set to max like that you will certainly have a stall before it starts rolling..

If the count off is disabled, then check your Open Ended Record Allocation preference... and set it to 10 minutes.
