G4 AGP & SGI Flatpanel
I just bought a new G4 and I'm trying to figure out a good way to still use my SGI flatpanel. With my 9600, I used the formac card that came with it. I can't use it with the G4 because it really seems to clog the PCI buss. That, and it's now quite a bit slower than the geforce card that came with the G4.
I'ld like to be able to extend the cable to about 25 feet as well. SGI makes a multilink adapter but I think it sells for around $500 which I really don't want to spend... If anyone else is using this monitor with their G4, please let me know how you're doing it

I use the multilink adapter with my G4 and SGI. I think it what you need to do.

Re: G4 AGP & SGI Flatpanel
Yeah, I knew someone would say that! It makes me feel stupid for not getting instead of the formac card when I had still had the chance. I think the bundle cost was the same either way...
Any other suggestions out there?
