I PRESS RECORD.. LONG DELAY BEFORE IT STARTS REC!!
i dont know what the hell is goin on.
it is so fustrating tho i can assure you of that. i open a mono audio track. i press record. it wont start to record until about a minute after i press record!!!! obviously this is not cool. how do i fix it???? PLEASE PLEASE HELP!

Change the "Allocating Hard Drive Space for Recording" to 10 minutes. See page 155 in the "Pro Tools Reference Guide" When allocating all available space, Pro Tools may take a little longer to begin recording. You can reduce this delay by allocating a specific amount of time for recording.

i had this problem and found that i had hyper threading turned on. when i turned it off (like its supposed to be)the problem went away.
