Default Hardware Setup for Patchbay

We have 2 192 I/O's the first 192 has 16 inputs(8 on expansion card) and 8 outs and the second 192 has 8 inputs and 16 outputs (8 on expansion card) for a total of 24 ins and outs. We have connected the 24 ins and outs to a patchbay.

On the patchbay the inputs and outputs for ch 1 thru 8 work fine but when we get to output 9 on the patchbay it wants to line up with input 17 on the patchbay.

How do we set up the software to line up output 9 thru 16 with input 9 thru 16 when output 9 thru 16 is on the second 192 and input 9 thru 16 is on the first 192.

Thanks for any help.

Depends entirely on the patchbay. We solved this issue with the design of the AudioLot Mixbay. It's a 192pt TT->DSUB 3U patchbay with some nice extra goodies thrown in. This way, because the 192's, Apogee, Lynx, etc. converters all use the same Tascam wired DSUB connections, you can place your gear anywhere on the bay and have plenty of room to normal in all your outboard gear, microphones, pre-amps, etc.

Here's a link if you'd like to check it out:

The patchbays we have are the Redco TT to DB25.
