Default Bomb Factory: -6003, -7204 issues resolved

Hello everyone out there in DUC-land,

Just wanted to let folks know that the engineering team has solved the -6003 and -7204 issues people were running into under certain configurations. The -6003 error only affected OSX users, but the -7204 fix applied to XP as well. We will be posting an installer with updated binaries (4.0.1) soon that should address the problems.

Thanks for being patient as we sorted it out

I just installed the updated version (4.0.1) of the Bombfactory plugins... a couple of questions?

1. Do I need to do a clean/fresh install of the plug-ins?

2. When I attempted to use them in a session all worked except BF76 which gave me a -7059 error? Does this relate to the previous errors or is this something new?

Thnak you for your guys support!

I'm getting the same -7059 error when trying to use the BF76. It worked fine before the update. Would it work to use the BF76 from the original installer and the rest from the update? Haven't tried it yet...just a thought.

Hi,
I would recommend uninstalling the 4.0 before installing the 4.0.1. Are you guys on Mix or HD? Also what version of Pro Tools, and what sample rate are you working at? Is this instantiating the TDM or RTAS version? Please let me know so I can try to reproduce this in house.

Thanks,

Hi!
I am on a clean XP install, first Free BF not even installed.
Install new version, launch PT, new session, create track, insert BF76 TDM, -7059 error.
Same, but insert RTAS, no probs.

PT 6.1 HD2. The one session I had saved with the BF76 plugins (from the 4.0 version that worked) inserted was 44.1. They now are disabled in the session. When I tried to instantiate it in a session, a DSP shuffle occurs followed by the -7509 error. I did not try the RTAS yet, these were all TDM.

RTAS BF76 seems to work fine here as well...its only the TDM version thats giving the -7509 error.

Any word on this? Still unable to use BF76 as TDM. Anybody still have the first version of the installer? I'm thinking I could replace the BF76 that worked from the first version (4.0) for the one that is currecntly screwed up in the posted installer (4.0.1). Could someone post this or attach it to an email for me??

Sorry for the delay. Our internal testing team has confirmed the -7059 error when inserting a TDM BF76 on XP. Unfortunately, the bad news is that we probably won't be able to get out an update until June. I'm sorry we don't have an earlier ETA on fixing this, but I wanted to make sure people know we are aware of the problem and do plan to fix it as soon as we can.
