Mac to PC transfer via firewire
Ok, this may be a dumb question and I'm sure it's been asked before, but can I use a firewire drive to transport sessions from a mac system to a pc system and vice-versa? I've done a search and didn't find anything. Thanks!

Re: Mac to PC transfer via firewire
It's in the FAQ in the LE Windows forum.
To read a Mac formatted FireWire drive, the best application is MacDrive5 from MediaFour. Make sure you have a suitable FireWire interface.. the Adaptec 4300A works well. Rail

Re: Mac to PC transfer via firewire
simplest is to format the drive FAT32 from the PC. then connect the drive to the mac, open the session and "Save session copy in" enforce mac/pc compatibility, and aave all files. save to the fw drive.
the session will open on either platform. |
