Default What the hell is it now.. Delay Compensation not working on Midi?

Any of you guys able to figure this out? Here are two samples printed from the same session, one with the audio buffer at 64 and one with the audio buffer at 1024. BOTH have delay compensation ON. However, it's not working!

What you're hearing is all audio tracks (including one kick) and Battery playing along with midi kick/snr (Battery V 3.2.3.). Why is delay compensation not working on Battery? (or superior drummer for that matter).

Here's the 64 buffer file: https://copy.com/etXX7NCRcd9YTtUz
Here's the 1024 buffer file: https://copy.com/1iJezcofnHivCBTl

And PS: I'm looking at the Delay Compensation values in the mixer window and all looks fine (I'm at Max. DC), ProTools does NOT indicate that there's a problem, but there is!

And also PS: Trashed Prefs. several times already.

I had problems using midi tracks to access Virtual instruments. If you are not splitting up the midi so each drum or cymbal has it's own midi track, than this won't apply.
What I do is use dummy instrument tracks instead. I create another instrument track and assign the output to the track that has the drum instrument. This was a problem when using mastering software in the master fader which caused uneven compensation. weird.

It doesn't seem to have anything to do with plugins on the Master Fader. It still doesn't compensate properly even with it disabled.

Are you using midi tracks with instrument tracks?

That's what I'm wondering about. Are people just not noticing this or is this an isolated problem?

So nobody has an answer to this? I would be curious to hear how many other people have this problem of midi not having DC.

It's a bug that is somewhat known. I posted and replied on this a half year ago.

Don't use midi tracks!

Use instrument tracks with no inserts as you would a midi track and send the INSTRUMENT output, not audio, to the instrument track that is using an insert. You have to use instrument view in the track panel to access this. This worked for midi shifting when using a mastering plug like Ozone.

I hope it works for you.

Very interesting workaround, thank you for that, I will give it a try.

But having that said, if this is a known issue, why isn't everybody raising hell about this?? Pro Tools does not delay compensate midi in the year 2013? Are you kidding me??
