Help! Major Midi problem after going 10.3.10

Hi, folks
I have tried uninstalling, reinstalling, examining audiomidi setup but after installing 10.3.10 Hd, Pro Tools MIDI has become very buggy!

I have a miditime piece AV Usb connected to an Alesis D4 (ports1), JV1010 (ports2), MDC1 (ports3), 02R96 (ports6) and a main controller Fantom XA (ports8).

No matter what I do, midi data does not enter Pro Tools anymore. I have already changed cables and also tested the midi out of this keyboard going directly to any sound module.

Also, If I lower one of the faders all others go up and down, even if there are no groups created (!). Sometimes same patch plays on multiple midi tracks!

Until december everything was fine with 10.3.8 HD.

I tried uninstalling 10.3.10 and reinstalling 10.3.8 and it does not open up. So I reinstalled 10.3.10 again.

Any help about this midi thing? I also changed usb connectors and redeclared sound modules.

THis midi setup had been fine for several years . Curiously when I opened it, MTV AV usb was duplicated, with a blank unit right at its side. I deleted it.

Hi,

Have you trashed the AMS prefs, rebooted and re-installed the software driver for the timepiece?

As long as the driver is compatible with your OS and it all works in the AMS then PT should work fine with it.

If you want to revert back to an earlier version of PT, then make sure you use the uninstaller that came with that version you have installed? or HAD installed. if you had 10.3.8 installed then you need to use 10.3.8 uninstaller before you install another version of PT etc

Thanks for your concerns!

a) when you say trash AMS preferences, do you mean the portion labeled as com.apple.audio.AUDIOMIDISETUP.list of the Pro Tools Pref and data base helper? I use an old version since 8.1.1
If not where do I find this AMS preferences?

b) I installed the updated 2011 MTV AV USB drivers.

c) I uninstalled 10.3.10 and installed 10.3.8 and it just would not reboot. Then, I reinstalled 10.3.10. I will look carefully at the uninstallers tip

After trashing preferences, reboots, re-installations of 10.3.8 and 10.3.10 with no success I decidec to connect a friend´s USB Motu Xpress Midi interface and it did go fine.

Then, I had the idea to reset my MTP AB USB.
I just had to do panic + power on and everything went back to normal!
Believe me...for a while, it is pretty fine again!
