001 \"ASIO only\" setup on WinXp motherboard help?
Hi all, its my first post here! I did search for about 15min on this particular topic but found nothing which answered this specific question...
I'm looking to setup a WinXp PC with a 001 to only run ASIO drivers on.. What I really need to know is what is a good motherboard/CPU/RAM combination to get the 001 happy under ASIO ONLY ... I would like to run an AMD64 as I have had good success with it on my PC running the last version of Logic Audio for PC (5.5.1) but have no idea if the 001 will be happy running with it (again under ASIO only)... Pro Tools will not be setup on this (PC) machine as there is a Mac in the studio with TDM going in sometime this year... so if anyone can help me setup the most compatible and powerful solution for an ASIO only 001 setup on pc that would be fantastic! best regards, Guy Melbourne, Australia |
