10.3.8 x 10.3.10 HD >>PT HD Accel + 10.6.8
Hi,
I have seen a few users reporting bugs with 10.3.10 but 10.3.8 is not paradise either. What is the veredict? Is it really worth going with 10.3.10 / OS 10.6.8 older MAc Proes? Thanks

I did change from 10.3.8 to 10.3.10. I have a lot less chrashes and all of them were related to plugins needed to update. For now it seems stable and I only am struggling with midi bugs. Still annoying. I'm thinking of going back to Digital Performer or Logic for midi work and then import to PT for mixing and overdubbing.
I am also investigating on the idea of going to logic and abandon pro tools since is too expensive for the support I get from them as a long time user. I had to spend almost 2000 $ just to get the software and my old tdm system is a dead end. too crazy.

To me, it seems not worthwhile trying to get PT10 to run well on Snow Leopard. That was the system that was good for PT8.1.1 and what PT9 was designed for.
If you want to run PT10 with least amount of trouble, I strongly recommend Mountain Lion (10.8.4 specifically fixed a lot of things, but 10.8.5 should not be any different as far as PT is concerned)

Jfreak, Will the MAc Pro 1,1 and 2,1 support the OS you mentioned?
We had to surrender the 8.1.1license. I don´t know if I install 10.3.10 keeping 10.6.8. Frankly, the expensive upgrade to 10.3.x (US$1500) was the worst investment I did in several years. I am an user since 4.3 TDM I (1999!).

Officially, they end with 10.7.5 -- but I've heard Mountain Lion is a possibility. Just unsupported one.

I did a quick research and I found some tips.. but frankly.. main studio machine with all these tweakings to work properly daily is a no go for me.
I have a 1,1 2007 working here since 2007 and I have just bought a spare 2,1 2008.
