cannot install dvtoolkit 6.4

Hi, can anyone help me?
I just purchased the DV toolkit.
I have been using LE 6.4 without problem for quite a while.
When I tried to upgrade to the DV toolkit, nothing but grief and blue screens of death.
I reverted to 6.1, and the dv toolkit works just fine, and then tried to upgrade to 6.4, and again blue sreen of death, and dalwdm.sys errors.
I have totally cleaned the registry of all digidesign entries, deleted all digidesign based folders on all drives, uninstalled everything and tried again...

6.1 dv toolkit works just fine.....
6.4 crashes and is again very difficult to remove.

Does anyone have any insight into this perplexing problem????

Further to my last post
I now have 6.4 running again, but not with DV toolkit.
I installed 6.4 with the toolkit, and the system stops responding while trying to load DINR.
I removed the Ilok, and when the dialogue came up, I cancelled the authorizations for Vocalign,DINR, and the Dvtoolkit, and 6.4 opened in it's normal fashion.

I tried just authorizing vocalign, and then pulled the Ilok for the other auths, and 6.4 started up fine with vocalign (the first plugin that tries to authorize).

When I tried again, I plugged the Ilok in after the DINR authorization screen, and when it tried to authorize, the program once again stopped responding.

I have rolled back to 6.1.1, and the whole DVtoolkit thing worked just fine.

Has anyone run into problems with plugs that will work with an Ilok on 6.1, but will not work in 6.4?

Are you installing the 6.4 DV Toolkit or trying to use the old 6.1 version?

I completely uninstalled ver. 6.1, all directories, registry entries(including DINR),all dalwdm.sys files, all digidesign database folders, PT preferences....., before I reinstalled 6.4 with the DVtoolkit option checked.

I don't think that I missed anything.
The version of 6.4 is downloaded, not from a CD if that makes any difference.

Tried that, no luck.
I can get an authorization for VoCALign, but the others (DINR and DVtoolkit) simply will not authorize, and cause the system to stop responding.

I am wondering if it is an Ilok problem, but if it is, why would it work in 6.1 and not in 6.4?
I am using the latest Ilok driver (5.1.2.2115)

I have gone back to 6.1.1, but I am not happy, but at least I have a timecode ruler.

I need to have support for more than 32 tracks, and hence need ver. 6.4

I truly hope that digi support can come up with a solution for this.

Is there anyone out there who has DVtoolkit working with 6.4??????

You should completely uninstall all aspects of Pro Tools.. including the ASIO and WaveDriver if installed. Search for an delete the file dalwdm.sys... delete your Digidesign folder.. reboot and then install Pro Tools 6.4 and check the option to also install DV Toolkit.

I have already done that, including cleaning every occurance of Digidesign I could find in the resgistry.
Same problem, the computer just stops responding while trying to load/authorize the DINR plugin, or if I remove that plug, it stops at the DVtoolkit plug.

For anyone who was interested..
digidesign and pace could offer no help...., although they both tried.

so I wiped my hard drive, and reinstalled everything from scratch....
Hooray...
DVtoolkit and 6.4 now work,
still no idea why it failed at first, but now I am happy.
