Is Transfer of Academic License Still Possible?
Hello, I own a perpetual academic license for ProTools which I purchased in 2015. Unfortunately the highest version I can upgrade to is 12.5.2 which will no longer work with my Mac OS (12.1). I need to keep my Mac OS relatively up-to-date because of work security requirements. I would rather keep it, but it doesn't seem like I can upgrade my perpetual license, and I don't use it enough to justify a monthly subscription right now.
If I sell or give my ProTools to someone else, can it be transferred via iLok, or do I have to fill out a transfer form through AVID? Also, does that person currently have to be a student/teacher? Or is this even possible to transfer anymore? Thanks
