Default SRC or analogue?

I am deciding how to patch 48k gear to a 96 io - specifically an M-One and an Aardvark card from a Giga/Windows machine (both 48k max) I understand any sends to this gear must be analogue, but how about the return back to the 96 io? Or should I simply stay at 44.1 globally. (I perused the 44.1 vs 96k debate, but got a headache). Thus, I am looking at the following conversions for the M-One;

D/A, A/D, D/A, A/D
or
D/A, A/D, SRC

Thanks in advance, oh wise ones!

Default Re: SRC or analogue?

We recently imported many large 48k files into a 96k session using SRC through a 192 I/O. They sounded quite good. In order to retain sample accurate sync, we used a Rosendahl clock generator to discreetly lock the 192 interfaces to 96k clock and the sources to 48k clock. At one point, the source machine was inadvertently allowed to free-wheel and other than the sync drift, no one picked up on the difference. We've come a long way with SRC. - I would go for the dual-clock synchronous interface if you can. At least intuitively, it's simpler math for the SRC.
