Probably it will take a few months for some companies to realise how much damage the delay caused to them. Specifically look at Waves. I won't say that they lost enormous amount of users, but I know many, many fellow engineers who completely dropped Waves. While this may not seem a big problem now, once many loose the faith in a company, it can easily ruin them in the long run. Most who dropped Waves for example, probably never ever again buy any plugs from them.

This big change to AAX can tell us users many things about the companies we are dealing with by the way.

Looks good -- loaded an old PT9 session and....instantiation, sound, it's all there...

Why? There can be plenty of talking about what does soon mean :)

But yes, it was all about the WavesHell. And that is why I bet they could easily release AAX DSP as well. That's another story, however...

Anyone know if the AAX version works in PT10? Or is it not 32-bit compatible? Not a big deal, just curious.

I'm guessing no - I heard that they were AAX64 only

They use RTAS for 32 bit. There isn't much point in 32 bit AAX unless it's a DSP plug-in.

Really

What system and how do you set up the tracks if you feel that way?
We have just downloaded and tested a lot of waves channels and it works better and more stable then PTHD10. On 3 different tracks we have like 85-122 channels full och McDsp and Waves and they are stable as (waves-hell)
