Default Plug-in Automation Question

Hi guys I've been trying to find a solution for this and it's driving me nuts, it might be a very simple thing but I can't find the answer, I'm running PT10 CPTK
and I'm trying to copy the plug-in automation from one track to another, this is a moving automation, like a filter sweep, not just plug-in settings (cmd+shift+c/v) I've tried copying special and all sorts of things but I can't do it, I do not want to alt+drag that plug-in to that track because if I do this all the previous automation will be lost, any ideas???

Hi,

Paste special to current automation type should work fine? are you viewing the automation type on the receiving track when you paste?

It worked when I selected the track that I wanted to automate and went Edit-Paste Special-Repeat to Fill Selection, I guess that'll do!
Thanks Chris!

The weird thing is that it'll only let me do it when I use the menu bar and select to copy "All automation" and then Paste to fill..., Plug-In Automation is greyed out and won't let me select it, the other weird thing is that when I try to do it using right click on selection it will allow me to copy Plug-In automation but it won't paste it, which seems really odd... Anyone experienced something similar?
