Default DISREGARD - Power & Volume Question

DISREGARD - There seems to be little interest in this. Thanks anyway.

My end result Audio configuration will include:

1. Avid MBOX Studio
2. Yamaha EAD10
3. Tannoy Reveal 501a Monitors

About Power & Volume Controls, I’ve been powering down them all, but leaving volumes where they were set.

Do you all power down your interface, etc. after use & set volumes to minimum?

Default Re: Power Volumes

Just one person's method:
1-As Sleep and Hibernation are two things that WERE to not be used, I don't(maybe these days, its okay, but not my preference)
2-My computer is powered by an APC UPS(battery backup) so power glitches will not trash the computer(speakers are NOT on the UPS). I recommend this to everyone.
3-My speakers are on their own power strip(rack-mounted for easy switch access). I see no reason why you couldn't also connect your screen to this same switched power strip.
4-If I need to run a backup, I do it manually and set the computer to shut down when finished.

Thanks Dave …. Great input and I agreed! I have two UPS’s in my home office. All of my PC’s and Mac are backed up nightly to my Synology NAS, including my new DAW. I don’t use hibernation or sleep. I just let the display go to sleep and turn off the mouse and keyboard. I’m curious about Monitor Speakers, Audio Interface, and EAD. Does everyone power them down when not used and/or minimize volume on all of them?
