Default Select/Split notes not working in PTLE7

I can't seem to get the Select/Split notes command in the midi operations window to work for selecting notes with same relative positions within all the bars. I'm trying to select out positions of hihat 16th notes and the numerical entries for the range (between 1/000 and 1/000) don't seem to respond accurately to the range values I type in. Is this a bug or is there a secret to get it to work. I've spent too many hours trying to get it right.
Any help is greatly appreciated.
Michael

Hello again - anybody from digidesign have an answer?? I'm specifically trying to select/extract notes with the same position in all bars from a hihat track containing all notes of the same note number. The select position command only works with positions of 1/000, 1/480, 2/000, 2/480, 3/000, 3/480, 4/000 and 4/480 for the btwn range entries. It does not matter what the grid note value is set to either. It will not work with 1/240 or 1/720 which are the other two 16th notes of the beat in 4/4 even after quantizing the track to an absolute 16th note grid. I've tried everything I can imagine and it's still a no go. Can someone help me with this please, Digi??

I'm not a midi genius, but this may work; click on the note of the tiny "keyboard" at the left end of the midi/instrument track that corresponds to the hat(or whatever sound you wish to split). That will highlight every hihat note. Hit Ctrl-X to cut, arrow up/down(using the p and ; keys) to your destination midi/instrument track and hit Ctrl-v to paste(you might use the COPY function instead of CUT, until you see if this will work for you.

Now, what is the goal here? Maybe there is another option you haven't considered

Thanks albee1952, I may give it a try. The select/split notes command in the midi operations window is supposed to let you select all notes of a given position simultaneously in all bars of a track and split or cut them out so you can edit only those notes. You can select them by a volume range, a duration range or a postition range. It is the position range I can't get to work fully. Thanks for your reply!
