Want to upgrade to Pro Tools 11 from 8 LE

Friends I wish to upgrade from my Pro tools 8 LE to Pro tools 11(later 12 when released). What is the method for the same. Can I directly purchase the license online and download PT from the Avid website. I don't wish to purchase it locally here as the add loads of taxes and the upgrade become very expensive. Would appreciate your help?

You are about 95 days late. Avid stopped selling the upgrade at the end of 2014.

Some retails my have some upgrade packages left.

Damn, but its strange Avid is still providing upgrade option for M-powered considering LE 8 was way better during the time. Can anything be done now? there's not even a proper support feature to contact avid apart from the forums.

Well I have moved to Mac OS X and plan to upgrade to Yosemite and it strange as it doesnt even support pro tools 10 after reading some forums.

I was also on PT8 LE. I got to PT 11 by doing a crossgrade that I bought from Guitar Center. It's possible that you can still find the same deal from one of the distributors. For the money, it really is a pretty good deal.

How exactly does such an activation card work? Is there a code on the card that I input on registration along with my mbox3 serial number to then get access to a download link for PT11?

You might also try at sweetwater.com. I think they still have some crossgrades available at a very good price, and their customer service is second to none--way better actually than Avid's customer service--and it's free.
