SoundReplacer Experts: Quick questions...
1. I have a stereo sample I'm trying to use for a (mono) snare replacement onto a stereo track. For some reason, it's only exporting my processed file as a left file.... not a stereo. So, my stereo track I've created just ends up with a file.L, instead of the stereo file I chose. Any ideas? I couldn't see anything in the settings that seemed to relate, except "stereo mode" ... which I am in.
2. Timing problems: Sometimes on hit replacements, I'm coming up wit major timing problems. I'm working at 192, if that matters. But, I'm doing a replacement for a kick drum, for example. I export it onto a new track... and it's just all over the place. It lines up... then off... then early, then late. Seems like this prob is random. Any guesses? Thanks in advance for any help! |

Re: SoundReplacer Experts: Quick questions...
Try this...
Take your mono file and duplicate it. Now you should have two mono files. Select both files and then do Sound Replacer to the file. If you have selected a dual mono file Sound Replacer will think it's stereo and create a stereo sound replaced file on the new track for you.

Re: SoundReplacer Experts: Quick questions...
Thanks!
The duplicating mono track trick worked fine, though I'm a little surprised you have to work around something that should be so simple on a piece of $450 software. What about the timing issues? Anyone have insight? I'm doing snare replacements and they're just landing all over the place. |

Re: SoundReplacer Experts: Quick questions...
Hi popps,
the best thing to do with the timing things is to put the replaced files to an extra track. Try without the peak align option. I found it better most of the times but used it with tracks from a drum machine. There is a detailed artticle about this in the manual....Read that too... best from germany Hanz Marathon
