Default iLok License Manager For OS 10.5.8 G5 PPC?

I have the older iLok drivers now on my OS 10.5.8 G5 PPC for PT 8.0 HD2...I think I need to install the new iLok license manager however, to add any new plug ins that use iLok. The iLok site has a confusing message about the system requirements for the Mac License Manager: it says that it runs on "OS 10.5 and above (Intel only)".

Is anyone here running it on OS 10.5 PPC? Can those of us on PPC systems still use the old iLok drivers?

Thanks so much!

I think you need to just use a new pc or mac to update ilok on old systems. I could not get the current ilok website to work with older ilok software on my 10.5.5 mac. So I just plugged my ilok into a windows 7 pc laptop and did it that way. Much easier than trying to figure this out.

I do have an Intel Mac to update the iLok on, but the Mac in my studio is PPC, OS 10.5.8. You have to install the iLok software on both systems.

There HAVE to be other folks dealing with this, so I am sure someone will weigh in with their experience...??

What I meant and did was to not install the new ilok manager to my g5 . The one with liquid cooling. Ppc chips.

Os x10.5.8. Hd 8.

I added and removed licenses via a windows 7 laptop with the latest ilok drivers and software. Took the ilok and plugged it into my g5 protools system. And it works. I do not do any ilok stuff via the older g5. Protools install will install ilok drivers. That's all you need to read the ilok for authorization.
