Is the PTLE on OSX requires new RTAS releases since it's OS X or the old ones would keep working?

Yes, an LE version on OSX is being developed in conjunction with the TDM version.

some scant details on Protools for OSX

Suggest protools 6 is for osx only

Also DigiCS, is protools FREE likely for OSX?
