Default PT/NT 4.2.5 supporting PT/Mix hardware?

Dear Sirs,

Even reading most of the posts in the last 20 days, it is still unclear to me whether the new release of PT/NT is fully supporting the PT/Mix PCI cards and the Pro Control units. I would be grateful if you could shed some light on this subject

I just posted a fairly complete document in the Announcements Forum titled "MIX NT Q & A" which answers this and many other questions. Check that out first, and if you need more information, we'll be happy to provide anything else we can.

Dear Mr. Paine,

thank you very much for your reply: I found there most of the info I was looking for.

It looks like it is better to wait until the second half of '99 for PT|24 MIX NT, as there is currently no support for most of the features I was most interested in. I was very much looking forward for the new context-sensitive editing tool, the popular plugins already available for the MacOS version (Lexiverb, plugins from Waves and TC, etc.), support for the Pro Control and the MIX I/O cards, etc.

Also, I see that there is still no support for NTFS partitions, therefore the maximum partition size is limited to 4GB (with a FAT16 version that is actually unreadable from Win95/98 or DOS). This is a very unpractical situation for somebody using several 18GB harddisks (Cheetah 18 U2W) like me: I risk to get lost in all those partitions.

I will reconsider purchasing a PT|NT system after these features are finally implemented. I hope this will actually be BEFORE the second half of '99 ;-)

Best regards
