Default Problem with Error 7077 with Accel

Hi,

I'm having the problem that the "stereo mixer b" beta is supposed to fix.

My setup:
G4 1.25
HD Core, 1 Accel card, 2 Process, properly configured.
Pro Tools 6.7cs8, Stereo Mixer_B
Panther 10.3.7
Running at 192, 5 interfaces
36 tracks, firewire Glyph drives.
Oxford EQs, Reverb One, Hardware Inserts, Lots of outputs in use.

In my mix, have 4 free DSPs on the last process card. I add a Reverb One. Error 7077, no free DSP. I try deactivating and reactivating, and I can get Pro Tools to use 2 of the 4 chips, either the last 2 or first 2 of the 4, but not all 4 together. I've mixed about 200 songs at 48 K and 96 K on these chips, so they're fine. The DSP Manager just won't shuffle. It just gives me the error.

All these years the DSP shuffling has cost me hours of time, now it won't shuffle at all. Any ideas DIgi?

Any HTDM plug-ins in the session (Altiverb, Amplitube, etc.). If you're not sure, check if the Stream Manager is using DSP in System Resources. If there are any HTDM's, try deactivating them.

Curious which plug-ins precisely are exhibiting this behavior. ALL Digirack?
Also, :
what sample rates are you running?
Is this occuring in brand new sessions w/o other plug-ins involved?

Thanks,

Foolish me, this response was meant for a different thread. Sorry.

how about:
Are these stereo or multi-mono versions of ReverbOne?

More:

You state above that you're "Running at 192, 5 interfaces"....doesw this mean running at 192k sample rate?

Also, please visit Sony's website and ensure you have their latest compiled plug-ins, as I know of some DSP-related fixes they addressed last year. In fact, if you replaced the sony's with a replacement EQ, I'm curious if the same problem occurs.

?

Hi,
I'm running stereo Reverb Ones and the latest version of the Oxford. Running the sessions at 192 kHz sampling. The system had been running fine at 96, but going to 192 I get repeated 9073 errors (every 5 mins) and kernal panics (every 2-3 hours). Also getting this 7077 error, but that seems to be the least of my issues today.
Thanks for your help.

Also, SessionKat, check out my other thread if you get a chance:

It's not a problem with the ProControl, so this is all probably related to my other errors....!

thanks!

Hi,

I have the same configuration and problem. It is not a HTDM issue. Here are my thoughts.
Running at 192 beats the piss out of the system. I do not advise it. 96k is a better sound/performance balance IMHO.
As I'm sure you know, some newer plugins require the powerful chips on ther Accel card. Reverb One may be one of these.

I agree that this is not ok and Digi need to fix it pronto. I've lost several days trying to sort this all out.

BTW- do not even think of trying Altiverb 4 in your configuration.
