Default SC48 recording

Our band uses 2 SC48s. On PT8 we could record the firewire 18 channel multi-track into PT without an iLok. On PT9 we need an ilok. With PT10 we can't get the I/O to come up correctly.

Do we need an iLok with a PT code on it to record the firewire multi-track or is there a way to use any computer with PT on it?

Seems like I remember seeing a driver update for the venue systems and pt10. May try and Find that. However I don't own/use one. But do keep an eye on them. They look like killer rigs.

Did you install the FWx32 driver on your machine and update the firmware on the FWx card?

i had some trouble with this as well. according to the directions you are supposed to quit PT before you update the console, this is wrong. Leave PT running while you update the firmware on the console. hope that helps
