Default 11 Rack MacOS Sierra "driver update coming?"

As of now I can't get my Eleven rack to be recognized by the new Mac OS update, OS Sierra. I went back to using OSX Maverick's. It worked up to El Capitan, but I'm assuming that it's a driver issue and the newest driver released isn't compatible with the new OS Sierra. The newest driver was made for up to El Capitan of course, but now I am waiting on Avid to release a new driver for the Eleven rack before I will update my Mac Os to Sierra. The newest driver was released on May 11? 2016.

Has anyone be able to get their eleven rack to work with OS Sierra?

Waiting, waiting, waiting...

I am in the same boat. Can't get drivers to work with Sierra. Even after multiple reboots.

Sometimes in the past installing the driver in compatibility mode works but that can cause issues between Pro Tools and the hardware driver, so I just choose to run an older version of OS until Avid updates the driver. I really hope they do. I just check the drivers, nothing new yet, last update was May 12, 2016 and that's compatibility up to El Capitan. Something to note is that my Mbox mini works, no driver update necessary. But, I also had a Seagate external harddrive that wouldn't connect into Sierra but connects fine with Mavericks and El Capitan. Sierra seems to be picky about USB connections.

Just an update: I've managed to get the Eleven Rack to work with Sierra now. I was using the Eleven rack with OSX Mavericks and then one day the device wouldn't connect with the driver same as with Sierra so I figured the issue isn't with Sierra but something else. I manually uninstalled the Eleven Rack because the Uninstaller that comes with the Installer wasn't working. Then I installed the 1.2.8 (not most recent 1.2.9) driver. I don't know if maybe there is a bug in the 1.2.9 update so went one back and now it works with Sierra.

Here is a link to manually uninstalling, though it's not specifically for Eleven Rack, also proceed with caution. (I don't actually know what I'm doing, I just mess around with things until they start working again )

Also the drivers are on Avid's pro tools support hardware drivers page.

Sorry the link may not work. It's on Avid's Knowledge Base page if you search "How To: Manually Uninstall Avid Audio Interface Driver Components Mac" you should be able to find it.

In my past experience with Pro Tools it has been if I have troubles with an updated version I step back one update and it works just fine. For example in the past Pro Tools 10.2.something wasn't working so I went back to 10.1 and it worked like a charm. I'm assuming some Avid (not saying it's just Avid, as it just seems to be the way of software in general) updates come with bugs and glitches, then you have the choice to either keep trying, step back to the update that was working or wait for the next update to fix the bugs/ glitches in the past most recent update, and hope that that newest update has only fixes and no glitches.
