Subgroups/Mixgroups not working properly
Hi, I have a session working in post production.
I'm mixing from my regular template where I have tracks routed though Subgroups for Dialog, SFX, Music, etc. 1st thing I noticed that was different was that audio wasn't coming in to the subgroups like usual. Unless I had record mode or Input monitoring on. I've double checked the routing and it's just the same and basic subgroup routing. Dialog channel f.x. output to bus 3-4 (DX) and input on the subgroup channel 3-4 (DX). Outputs are then just set to ouptout 1-2 on all subgroups as well as the master channel. I've finished the mix and was going to bounce the files and send it today but same with bouncing it - It's just silence. Unless I input monitor it (which doesn't work ofcourse when bouncing) . Hoping for quick suggestions! Thanks ! |

Re: Subgroups/Mixgroups not working properly
This is very confusing. By what you describe, it sounds like you are using AUDIO tracks as your sub-groups(which would explain why they need to be in INPUT mode). Must people use AUX tracks for this purpose as they pass audio under all circumstances(including Bounce to Disk).
