Default > VTS Adapter and

I have a client that has done all his song development in Cubase with various VST Virtual Instruments. I need to finish off the project by adding real drums, guitar, bass and final vocals and then mix it. It is a tight budget, so I want to minimize time as much as possible.

I work in ProTools 8 HD but would like to start with all his Midi and VIs to get going, however he is using a lot of very specific sounds so it would take a long while to find decent matches. . . it may be a lot quicker and better starting point to just use the same VIs and patches. . . I am wondering it people are having any luck with VST adapters, such as the one by FXPansion? Do I just install Cubase and purchase the VST adapter and then I am good to go, or is it a lot more complicated. . .

Hi,

Install vst wrapper
install vst plugin
open wrapper and select wrap vst's
vst (if wrapped successfully) appear in the pro tools plugins folder as wrapped to rtas

Not all vst wrap successfully. most of the newer VST's you can't browse the presets very well.

presets don't always work between different versions vst-rtas wrapped etc

Chris
