Default ERROR MESSAGE -6088 (Updated information)

I keep getting this message every couple of passes on a session,

OPERATING SYSTEM HELD OFF INTERRUPTS FOR TOO LONG
IF THIS OCCURS FREQUENTLY TRY INCREASING H/W BUFFER SIZE IN THE PLAYBACK ENGINE PANEL - 6088

Im using a Dell XPS 400 pentium w/ dual core tech.
Running windows xp media center edition version 2002 sp2
I have 1 gig of ram.

Anybody ever deal with this?

Thanks Jim

You'll need to post system details. You don't mention anything at all that could have someone help you, really. Pro Tools version? Computer system? Specs? Chipset? Is it Core Duo?

Here, from the digidesign homepage, when typing 6088 in the search bar

Media center is not supported. But that is most likely not your immediate problem.

Please read through the General Troubleshooting thread and try the suggestions there, starting with checking the compatibility of your system (something which you obviously neglected), all the way up to installing the SiSoft Sandra software and posting your computer details as reported by that software.

Seeing as you are running Media Center, there are probably other compatibility issues. 6088 errors are usually caused by using a firewire interface that is not one of the qualified and recommended ones.
