Default Da Vince Resolve and Avid HDX

I have just started using Da Vinci Resolve 16 and am trying to route the audio out of my HDX card.
So far unsuccessful.
Anyone know how to do this?
Thanks - Fred

Assuming you have the Core Audio driver installed and have used it with other applications?

It should show up in the Audio I/O Preferences. Under Speaker Configuration use “Manual” instead of System Setting. Monitor Set "Main", then HDX should be listed in Devices. Tell it if you want Stereo or other then assign the outs.

Now I haven't tried Resolve with HDX but it works the same with any Core Audio device.

The routing page in Davinci Resolve is the most ass backwards system I've ever encountered in my life.

Resurrecting an old thread because I've been struggling to get this to work. I found that answer HERE!
Quote:
This is crucial information because as soon as resolve is installed, there is no way to get audio out if you are using Avid / Digidesign hardware and Coreaudio. And fixing this is very difficult, uninstalling resolve doesn´t fix it. You also have to uninstall PostgreSQL 8.4 (that gets installed with resolve) manually using terminal. This is how you do it in OSX 10.8.5.

1) Stop the server and remove the service:
sudo launchctl unload /Library/LaunchDaemons/com.edb.launchd.postgresql-8.4.plist

2) Remove the plist file:
sudo rm -f /Library/LaunchDaemons/com.edb.launchd.postgresql-8.4.plist

3) Remove the Menu Icons:
sudo rm -rf /Applications/PostgreSQL/8.4

4) Remove the Installation Files:
sudo rm -rf /Library/PostgreSQL/8.4

5) Remove the postgres user:
sudo dscl . delete /Users/postgres

6) Remove the ini file:
sudo rm -f /etc/postgres-reg.ini
I copy/pasted the terminal commands and now it works. And, yes, the routing is atrocious! Going to experiment with the ADR functionality.

interested to see how you get on with latency and recording. Core audio drivers are generally at bit slower over digilink. Keep us posted!
