Default Sudden Voce Chorus-Vibrato Authorization Error in PT 9.0.6

Hi,

I'm running Pro Tools 9.0.6 on Mac OS 9.6.8.

Everything has been running smoothly until suddenly, I received a "Fatal Error-unloadable executable" message, i.e., "no valid authorization could be found, the iLok key was not connected or the plug-in was damaged".

I checked my iLok account and the license appears to be in tact. My iLok key was connected. I tried replacing the plug-in with a safe copy I keep in another location, and when that did not work I downloaded and re-installed the Voce bundle for PT 9 from the Avid site. Still no go!

Oddly, Voce Spin, also part of the bundle, continues to load in PT with no error message, as do all of my other plug-ins.

The only hint I have is that Voce Chorus-Vibrato was working fine with exactly the same setup, until I downloaded and installed the latest Massey plug-ins demo package. I can't see how that should make a difference, but I removed the Massey Demos plug-in from the Plug-ins folder, just in case. Nothing doing!

This particular plug-in may not be critical to my daily routine, however, I purchased the license and would like to see it functioning the way it should - and has been until very recently.

I must be overlooking something.

Any helpful suggestions would be much appreciated.

Kind regards to all,

- Wayne

Yes, Clifford. I did trash DAE and Pro Tools prefs as part of the process described above. Sorry, forgot to mention.

Thanks for responding. Any other thoughts?

Hi Clifford,

Thanks for following up.

Sorry though, I don't understand. Tried to reinstall what exactly? What do you think might be damaged?

Kind regards,

-Wayne

*bump*

Noticed someone else in the parent thread is having issues with plug-ins suddenly requiring re-authorization.

Any deeper solutions, or at least thoughts about the issue, out there? Anyone?

Please and thanks ...

I had some problems with several other plug-ins, related to a bug in Novation Automap 4.3 (which has now been fixed, by the way, and can be downloaded here: Automap 4.4.1).

To get all of the necessary plug-ins back, I eventually re-installed PT 9.0.1, then re-updated to PT 9.0.6. That did the trick!

Interestingly, Voce Chorus-Vibrato, which was not one of the plug-ins I had replaced now works as well!

Pro Tools must have somehow got corrupted. Go figure!

Hope this helps others experiencing similar problems.

Cheers,

-Wayne
