Video Camera Signal
Hi
We just got a Profile D-Show System using it in our recording truck, mainly broadcasting live concerts for Radio/TV. Just superb, thanks! One first question; is there any possible way to feed our on stage control video camera signal through the venue system to avoid a separate snake for video only? Many thanks for any ideas! Patrick |

Re: Video Camera Signal
Hi Patrick,
What's the video signal format, and by "feed our on stage control video camera signal through the venue system" do you mean this signal would actually be connected somehow to the VENUE system, or run in a separate cable that's bundled together with the VENUE system's digital snake? If it's the latter then there likely won't be a problem. Sheldon |

Re: Video Camera Signal
Hi Sheldon
like others already comment. One reason to buy a venue is Digi's incomparable online support we already enjoy since Sound Designer II . To explain my question: I work a lot with studer vista 5. There it is possible to connect the BNC video cable directly to the stage rack. The signal shares the same glass fibre cable, audio signal is transmitted both directions. In the mobile truck on the "FOH rack" a BNC connector is available to feed a normal video monitor. This is a fantastic feature. Same works with the optocore system /www.optocore.com/. On both systems I don't know if it's a add on or a integrated feature. Best Patrick |

Re: Video Camera Signal
Hi Patrick,
Thanks for the kind words and further detail. There's no dedicated video "pass-through" connection on a VENUE system, but it'd be pretty easy for a systems integrator to build a rack panel that included an extra BNC connection, which then went into the same multicore snake (using a 3- or 5-conductor cable). Re: Video Camera Signal
We bought a 6 way 150 meter snake as well and were surprised about the huge size and weight. We plan to use it for very special recordings only . Good idea, thanks.
