Recoding at half speed/playback problem
I am currently recording a guitar track on Pro Tool LE and the end of one guitar solo has a pretty fast run that i would like to record a half speed to make sure i hit all the right notes!
I have recorded it - no problem but when i come to pay it back the pitch is really high. Is there a way to correct this. Any help guys Cheers ANdy |

Re: Recoding at half speed/playback problem
Hey Andy. Select the part of the track that the notes are too high, make it it's own region (command+E), apply the DigiRack audiosuite Pitch Shift plug-in, adjusting the coarse slider down maybe an octave. Refer to page 106 of the DigiRack plug-ins guide.

Re: Recoding at half speed/playback problem
half speed=one octave lower. You'd have to play it an octave lower for it to be correct when back at normal speed.
I'm not sure that pitching it down a full octave will work, it may loose too much quality.
