Default Selecting between markers from 10 and above.

I found a irritating bug in 5.01.

I placed more than 9 markers. They are used as scene cuts. I have the classic mode selected for the alpha section. When hit 10-dot it jumps to that marker. If like to select the scene between marker 10 and 11 I press shift and hit 11-dot. Nothing happens! If I select the scene between 8 and 9 it works.

Digi is this fixed in 5.1?

Regards, Danny.

(I found a temperary solution, but it is a lot of work. Paste from 10 and have a overlength on 11. Then Trim to end from marker 11.)

hmmm. I don't have that problem and I'm in 5.0.1 as well. I have a feeling that digi is going to suggest trashing preferences and that'll probably fix it.

This feature also works for me with PT LE 5.0.1. Make sure that you have "Classic" selected for the Numeric Keypad Mode in the Setups>Preferences>Operation Window (although it still works with "Transport" mode enabled, it doesn't work as well).

I was able to do this in 5.01 no prob. Hmmm. Sort of off topic, but anyway here goes...you can tab to the next marker, why can't you option tab to the previous one? Also, it would be nice if you could lock the markers track.

hey Brent,

I’m having a problem with locate points and region selection since upgrading to 5.01 with the ProControl. In 5.0 I could mark the beginning and end of a desired section of audio with markers, let’s say between locate marker 1 and 2. I could hit 1-period to go to the beginning, then hold shift and hit 2-period and select the piece of audio. This no longer works on the ProControl, but does with the Mac keyboard. I can hold shift and click directly on the markers or the marker selections in the memory locate window, just not using the keyboard in classic mode. Is this a bug or was this intentional?

Dear all,

I found the solution to the select between markers issue.
Press 10-dot. Then press 11, hold shift and press dot (NOT shift 11-DOT). This will do the trick.

Peter wrote "... tab to the next marker ..." I would like that to, but it did not work when I do it.

Danny.

Hey Danny-
If you want to tab to the next marker, make sure the curser is active in the rulers track. That should do the trick. Its a great way to jump around quickly.

You can always <<shift click>>, or <<shift :>> (in focus mode) to select track data after selecting in the markers track. If you use this method to delete track info, remember your markers get deleted also. This is why I wish you could lock the markers.
