protools hd 8.1.1 freezing?

Hi all
I have a Protools hd 8.1.1 hd 3 accel system with mac os 10.6.8.


I have urs, psp, lexicon, massey and waves plugins (v9.3) I never had this issue before the waves plugins



waves no longer has tech support for my system.


I have a session freezing. It is 48khz 24 bit with around 115 voices used and many tdm and rtas plugins.


I can open the session by holding shift during boot and not using the tdm plugins



I'm on my second Mac Pro. The new computer has worked 99% of the time for years.
And still does for most sessions.
though I have a session that is freezing at start up. i tried importing all the tracks into a fresh session and that works for a few days, then it freezes again.


I uninstalled all the waves plugins (step by step how waves instructed) and reinstalled and that seemed to work, then today I had the same issue on the same troublesome session.


after I re installed the waves plugins I could open and work on a session that previously didn't work, but now it's freezing again



attached is a mac error report. hoping someone might be able to decipher it.


im thinking of upgrading to hd 10 if I can find a license. anyone ever experience this with Protools hd 10? ideas/ things to try? again it worked so well for a long time
