Default importing audio

How do I take an audio file that is listed in the audio menu on the right hand side of the edit window and paste it onto a track? I read the manual and and I couldnt seem do get it right. Please help

just click and drag it where you want it.

And, if you want it in more than one spot, like say if it's a hi hat or a kick, do this...

Once you have it in it's first spot, Click and slide the exact length of the sample going left to right, let go, and hit Ctrl./C(copy). Then, just click on the next spot you want it and hit Ctrl./V(paste). THEN, just hit Ctrl./D repeatedly to continue pasting the sample at the same interval over and over.

Believe me, that's better than placing a sample at a time throughout...
