Default Pro Tools HD not recognizing Avid Interface after upgrading 12.5.2 to 12.7
Installed 12.7 HD from 12.5.2 HD

PT not recognizing Avid i/o

Have re-installed driver several times. No luck. Anyone else?

I believe you need to contact Avid and get the new Pro Tools HD Perpetual Bundle which includes PT HD 10/11/12+I/O licenses. There is a new license for PT 12.6 and beyond and since Avid has officially separated the HDX , HD I/O and HD software you need the I/O license to make the HDX card's mini digi-link connector work with HD I/O now. All of this is free of course but you'll need to call Avid and tell them your problem and they take care of it quickly (they had a second person call me back within 10 minutes or so and fix my problem). I had the same problem when I upgraded to 12.6 and Avid hadn't got around to changing my license yet but put 12.6 in my Avid account so I know your pain.

Thanks for the help.

The license is on my Ilok (PT Perpetual Bundle w10/11/12)

Does it mean I have to install 12.6 then 12.7. Can't skip?

Yes, you need to surrender your current license for a new one (still PT10/11/12) to work with 12.6 and above.

No you don't need to install 12.6 before 12.7, you just need the new licenses from Avid on your iLok for any version of PT 12.6 or higher to work.

As albee1952 said, sounds like you might be missing the Pro Tools DigiLink I/O license (required for HD hardware starting in 12.6). Will check your account and respond.

The Perpetual bundle does support 12.6/later, so thinking it's the lack of a DigiLink license in this case.
