Trading my Via kt133 for a SE440bx 2 - Good to go?
After problems forever using VIA trying to record. Im going to purchase the digi-001 & Im going to trade my Biostar M7MKE KX133 board and processor(500) for a Intel board with the SE440bx 2(w/ 450mhz). From what Ive read and hear...sounds like im ready to go. I was wanting to just build an Athlon system, but building the perfect configuration is STRESSING. Im not concerned in running realtime plugins a lot. The harddrive im using is a 20 gig ata66 7200 rpm Maxtor. So am I ready to go? Im eager to trade this thing off. Anything I should know? Also, I was considering upgrading the controller to promise for ata 133 and get another HD. Anyone advise against this controler?
Also, with the 7200 20 gig maxtor & 450mhz how many audio tracks can i expect to yeild running together? |
