Re: Emagic Logic vs ProTools & Logic
I used Logic with OMS and with Emagic hardware (MT4). My opinion it is better with out OMS. Some people like using it with OMS and have no problems. I tried had a few and bought the MT4. I understand the problems were solved with new 5.1 drivers. I don't know much about the latency issue, did not use OMS long enought to see if there was a problem or not. I would think at this point it will be a matter of what your needs are. If you use OMS, you'll save yourself the money on buying a midi interface becasue you can use the 001 midi ports. If you need more than one midi i/o then just buy yourself the Emagic interface and skip OMS.
Just my opinion Toecat |

Re: Emagic Logic vs ProTools & Logic
i normally dont run enough midi to run into latency problems however what i do like is the lack of latency for audio ! otherwise i feel that the digi 001 is a cost effective solution to a sound card for logic not the BEST and by no means the WORST.
best of luck . |
