Default Yosemite came out today.

I assume there are people who have been testing PT in beta, but I was wondering if anyone has installed the (free!) download of Yosemite and tried using it in 10 or 11.

Thanks!

11 runs good on 10.10 in my testing.

Of course, you'll want to wait for Avid to bless, and even then be sure to work on a cloned partition.

I just tried to download the update and it was still unavailable at the Apple store. It appears but won't let me download. Probably still need to wait a little while.

So I've downloaded Yosemite for when it's "allowed".
When can I expect it to be checked and reviewed by Avid? How long did it take for them to give a pass to Mavericks?

It usually takes 'months' for Avid to approve a new OS. Sounds like some people have made it work. I might take the plunge, what the hell. What could possible go wrong :)

10.9.4 was approved a couple weeks ago. Just to give you an idea.

I downloaded Yosemite and installed. After install, and on restart, the machine booted and it informed me that Pro Tools was not compatible and would be moved to an "Incompatible software folder". Then came the desktop. Looked great. PTHD11 icon still in the dock where i left it. I clicked. It ran just fine, and I'm mixing tracks on it now.
