Weird Transient popping in Pro Tools 10.3.10
I open a session, i’m working on the kick, all is well, after about 10 mins the kick starts popping. No other pops, doesn’t sound like clock problems, just the kick. Same behavior in both sets of monitors and phones. I quit pro tools re-open, the problem is gone, then comes back again after around 10 mins or so. What gives? This is with no plugins on the track. I’ve tried instantiating new tracks, same behavior.

I actually figured it out. It was the Slate FX-G on the master bus, I took it off, the popping stopped.

You might try raising the hardware buffer setting to see if that helps. The added latency shouldn't be a big deal if you're just mixing.
