Default Ethernet wiring(behind the wall) info needed

Hello,

I'm in the process of having all my control room audio and data wiring installed behind the walls prior to drywall installation. I'm doing this myself. I've run multiple Mogami 8 channel snake runs for audio transmission between 192 I/Os and the Control 24 and CAT5E for communication between the Mac and the Control 24. These will all be terminated by female DB25 and RJ45 jacks on custom wall panels on their corresponding walls.

Are there certain wiring guidelines I need to follow when terminating both the female DB25 and RJ45 jacks?? I'll use short corresponding male terminated snake and CAT 5 cables from wall plate jacks to the equipment(Mac, 192 1/0s and Control 24).

Thanks in advance.

I'm also posting this in the Mac section of the DUC.

Sounds like you will be fine. You should run the Ethernet cables the same as if you were wiring your office.

you are not ment to wire communication cabes without a licence, however if you have the right tools its not hard to do. use brand name connectors and follow the color coding. to keep away from any power cables, if you must cross power cables make sure they cross at 90degrees
