Mackie Big Knob and surround monitoring???

Hello everyone-
Does anyone use a Mackie Big Knob as their surround sound master volume control? I know this unit is designed for stereo monitors, but it can have 6 outputs at once. Any thoughts on using this $300 range unit compared to a $1000 dollar model like the Coleman unit?

Technically, its possible, there are 3 pairs in and 3 pairs out, all controlled by the.....Big Knob!!!!

I have to agree with the guy using the SPL surround monitor controller. Been using mine for a couple of months now, and love it to pieces. It's built really well, and if your gonna be mixing surround, the last thing you wanna do is skimp on the most important part....monitoring.
