The only problem being it's after 5 here and I don't know who may be around to help and I don't want to promise anything I can't deliver, given what I know.
Thanks for your honest reply.

I'm glad someone started this thread.

Avid, thank you for chiming in. If you didn't, I'd be pulling my hair (what's left) out trying to figure out where the grid lines went - or at least why when I change note vales, the lines don't change.

Thank you for the prompt response and and the CMD+Drag while in Slip/Grid mode instructions.

I'm not really sure I like this new "feature" - If you have 16 plus tracks of drums and have no other plans for the night other than editing those drums, I can see this may be difficult with the new feature.

Glad I saw this thread before upgrading. Please tell me this is a bug and not a "new" feature.

The jury is still out. Waiting for DigiTechSupt to comment again.

I wish I had seen this thread before upgrading... Should have known... Never upgrade without consulting the duc!

Although it's not the end of the world, the summary for what they changed for the upgrade didn't mention anything about changing how the grid lines work in slip mode.

And as I'm typing this on my phone (wireless is down) it is taking uncharacteristically long to load a session.

I don't care what Avid call it - it's a bug! I can't work with this... sticking at 9.0.1

These are the kinds of changes which infuriate your oldest customers... who have been using the same workflow for decades.

I was almost tempted to install 9.0.2... but 9.0 works great for me, so I haven't changed...

I'll probably wait a few more revisions...

You can view grid lines in Slip mode - just enable 'Slip + Grid' (click Grid, then shift-click 'Slip'). Set the grid to the values you want to see.

To move a region to the grid, just click drag it. To move it in Slip, command+drag it.

If I'm missing something about what you're trying to do, please detail further in your reply.
I'm trying this out and, though it works, it's not ideal. Maybe because I've been so used to just hitting F2 when I want to slip edit and F4 when I want to grid edit. I'll keep working this way and see if it grows on me, but having the option to have the visual grid on Slip is definitely welcome.

Luckily I have 2 installations, with one being for testing upgrades. Opening a session in 9.01 the gridlines are still visible in slip, shuffle, spot and grid. 9.02 only in grid. Needless to say I will be running the 9.01 for a while.
