Default application error when opening a session

I just finished a pretty big mix of a song and didnt have any problems while working on it. when i tried to open the session today, i got an error notice as soon as the session opened up saying that there was an appilication error and that pro tools needed to close. i tried everything i could think of and the problem keeps occuring. the session file back ups all have the same problem. but, i can open all of my other sessions. is there any way to get around this, or do i have to start from scratch with a new session? any insight would be greatly appreciated.

Default Re: application error when opening a session

you did not mention any hardware or software versions, etc.
how can someone help you if they don't know what you are working with and have?
