Default Asus A8V MOBO?

i know the A8V hasn't been tested as much as the K8V, but i'm about to build the allenstein machine, and i'm tempted to take a gamble on the A8V. it's got more upgrade potential than the K8V, and i've seen a couple favorable reviews although i'd like to see more.
thoughts?

Default Re: Asus A8V MOBO?

Just built an allenstein with A8V - it's been up and running for the last week or so and seems to be rock solid. The only issues I've had have been SP2 related - which I seem to have solved (see SP2 compatabilty thresd)

Just finished a 20-something track session with around 20 plugs running (including reasonadapted) and the system didn't even blink. Not an error in sight

Did quick DaveC test (more to come) and with the 3200 processor got 32/14 @256 samples with room to move.

Check the 'best desktops' thread (or just search DUC with A8V) as a few other people have had some success with this mobo already.

hope thats useful

Cheers, Scott
