Default syncing strike to click track

On PT11 (using 11.2) I CANNOT get VI drum patterns to sync with my click track. Same problem whether it is Strike or SampleTank 3). Works fine on PT 10. Is there some simple setting I am missing that enables MIDI VIs to skync with the click? To further clarify, I'm not talking about a slight delay compensation issue - they just totally disregard the click.
On Windows 7, 002 controller (which works fine with PT11).

Default Re: syncing strike to click track

ok, I think I worked this out. The beats were set for 1/8 notes. When I switched to 1/4 notes in the metronome everything syncs. However, I would still like to hear anyone's thoughts on this if there is further insight. Thanks for reading and/or posting in advance. Kent

Default Re: syncing strike to click track

Also ... something to be aware of with strike ... which I mentioned in posts put up within the thread about the delay compensation bug for multi out VIs ...

If you record audio or MIDI using strike's in-built recorder, and then drag/drop onto a track's timeline in the edit window it only comes out correctly if the song's tempo (and therefore click track) are fixed tempo.

Otherwise it drifts out of sync, regardless of whether the relevant track is set to samples or ticks.

The solution, at least with the MIDI recorder, is to copy the midi notes that trigger the various Strike patterns to an area beyond the end of the song, where the tempo is fixed, record using the MIDI recorder in Strike, and then drag/drop into the timeline at that same point.

Once the MIDI region is on the timeline, you can now move it to an area of the song that has tempo changes, and providing the MIDI track is set to ticks, all the notes will stay correctly aligned to their intended bar/beat positions.
