PT going crazy....help
lately i've been getting ridiculous amounts of "Access Violation" errors and "runtime C++" errors. these will happen within 10 minutes of when i open a session....more or less whenever i try to save, or bounce, or close a session. this started happening out of the blue about 3-4 days ago and has killed my workflow since then. i have a lot of mixes that need finishing real soon....one client who really needs her mixes and another with a mastering date 10 days away...so any help is greatly appreciated. thanks,

Re: PT going crazy....help
this isn't a real answer but it's the most common tech support answer I get (from anyone not just digi):
Uninstall PT. Reinstall PT. Sometimes it does the trick. If worse comes to worse, you might need to resintall XP. Do you use the machine for other things like websurfing and stuff? Will

Re: PT going crazy....help
no websurfing, no word processing, no anything except for Pro Tools + Nero. and it's a custom-built machine with good components all the way around. i don't install anything onto this PC that's not absolutely necessary.
i think you're right though...it's come to the point where i need to uninstall/reinstall PT. jon |
